How Ready Is Your Car for Fall?
Have you planned much for fall? Maybe some road trips to check out leaves? If so, you’re going to want to make sure your car is ready for fall and HRS AutoCare has some tips to help you to do just that.
Check Your Lights and Fluids
It’s darker a lot earlier in the fall, and you might even be leaving in the morning when it’s still pretty dark out. That means your lights need to be in good working order, including interior and exterior lights. You should also double check all of your fluids, but especially your antifreeze and your windshield wiper fluids. Check your oil as well, just to make sure it’s doing alright in between oil changes.
Don’t Forget to Check Your Tires
You should also check out your tires. As the weather starts to change, that might mean more rain, more icy mornings, and just generally more opportunities for your tires to face big challenges. If you’re almost due for new tires, it might be a good idea to think about making that change now so that your tires are ready for not just fall, but also winter and the months after.
Stock the Trunk Carefully
You don’t want to cart around too much stuff in your trunk, but in cooler weather that might have more surprises in store for you it can be a good idea to have some non-perishable snacks, water, and even an extra blanket or two in the trunk. That’s in addition to your spare tire, jack, flashlight, jumper cables, and other emergency equipment, of course. If you don’t already have some tools or a basic emergency kit for your car, maybe now is the time to put one together.
Double Check Any Other Upcoming Services
Are there any necessary services that are coming due for your car? It might be a good idea to check that out now. If you’re not sure, it might just be a good time in general to have your car inspected or to do diagnostic testing to make sure all is well. That never hurts, and it can ensure that your car is absolutely ready for fall and for anything else.
